This article is a summary of the year 2021. I decided I will write at the end of every year a short summary of what I managed to accomplish and what I still need to do. It was a great year for me so I would like to share with you my successes and struggles ๐Ÿ™‚.

About year 2021.

The year 2021 as I wrote previously was an amazing time for me. Lots of things changed in my life, and there were a lot of improvements.

I must write that I started this year quite poorly with poor motivation. Of course, I had my New Year’s resolutions as always but I didn’t have much faith I could accomplish all those things I had in my mind.

I must write I am not a super productive person and sometimes I am a big procrastinator.

But when I look back at this year I am very happy I managed to accomplish quite a lot of things.

I would like to write you about a few things I accomplished this year.

A new work in year 2021.

Main work.

In this year I started a new work for an international company ๐Ÿ˜Œ.

Previously I was unemployed for about 3 years so when I finally started to work I was very happy about this fact.

In the beginning, it was very hard for me to keep up with work and stay productive because I wasn’t used to working so long hours in front of a computer.

With more time and practice I got better and better and now working a few hours in front of a computer is not a much problem for me.

My work gives me chance to develop my skills and grow as a person. It also keeps me busy during the day.

Of course, when I was unemployed I was very busy too because God will always find you a job but a permanent and paid job is a huge motivator to get out of bed in the morning and become much more productive during the day.

I also got a promotion after about 8 months of my work from junior to mid-e-commerce specialist.

Obviously, I had to have good results in my work because this promotion was unexpected for me.

Nevertheless, I was super happy that my employer is happy with my work performance and I can develop in this company ๐Ÿ˜Š.

Second work.

I don’t want to lie that I don’t treat blogging as my second work. Of course, I don’t have any money from my blog since I don’t have ads on it but I spend quite a lot of time on writing articles so I could assume blogging is my second job.

As I wrote I am not a super productive person, at least in my mind, so in 2021 I wrote only 11 articles on my blog.

Nevertheless, blogging helped me to get to know a super productive person like Mateusz Rus which I find as someone I could take an example from. If you would like to read an article about the productivity of Mateusz here is a link ๐Ÿ‘‡:

My blog helps me to connect with people like Mateusz and grow as a person but also helps me to develop my professional skills.

When I write a blog article for example from programming in Python topic I learn a lot during this process and when I read it over and over again later this knowledge roots in my mind.

Books in year 2021.

Lubimy Czytaฤ‡ challenge.

This year I finished reading 24 books. So it will be 2 books a month ๐Ÿ“š.

There is a challenge that is about reading a certain amount of books a year. This year I decided I will finish 24 books and I managed to successfully accomplish that.

Image 1. Lubimy Czytaฤ‡ books challenge in 2021.

Unfortunately as far as I remember I finished only 1 IT book which is “Sprawny Programista” by John Sonmez.

This year I tried to read mostly healing books like spiritual books about God or Emotional Intelligence and such. I was healing from my cancer treatment and other illnesses, and I thought I needed good healing books ๐Ÿ“š.

About my treatment journey you can read under this link ๐Ÿ‘‡:

Most valueable books in 2021.

This year the most valuable book I have read was “Chrobot” by Tomek Michniewicz. This book is about the life of several people from different countries described from childhood to adulthood and elderly. By reading this book you can imagine how ordinary life goes in India, Japan, or Finland, and some other countries.

This book helped me to realize that my life isn’t so unmanageable as I thought. I have a good and decent life. Quite easy life in comparison for example to Madhuri, one of the main characters in this book. This Indian woman was living in extreme poverty for all her life and accepted that.

My work-life is also very easy and comfortable in comparison to Mayuko, also a character from that book, that lives in Japan and works as a high school teacher. The Japanese work culture described in this book is so much more demanding and harsh in comparison to this in Poland or European countries.

To sum up, by reading this book I realized that my life is very easy and good and I am very lucky to be born in Poland in such and such a family and such and such life circumstances. I feel truly blessed ๐Ÿฅฐ.

Another books worth mentioning.

The other books that helped me a lot in 2021 were “Emocjonalne SOS” by Guy Winch, “Inteligencja Emocjonalna” by Daniel Goleman, and finally “Ojciec Pio” by Irena Burchacka.

In 2021 I bet on Emotional Intelligence and Spiritual Growth. Those books helped me to become more aware of my emotions and helped me to manage them better. EQ is very useful also in sustaining good relationships with others ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘งโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ.

The book about Padre Pio helped me to understand more about the spiritual world, the very important aspect of prayer and sacrifice. It helped me to realize that everything is a grace that comes from God.

This book describes a lot of documented miracles made by God through the hand of Padre Pio. These are supernatural phenomena unexplained by science. If you are atheist or agnostic I recommend you to read that book and I hope God will give you the grace of faith ๐Ÿ™.

Programistฤ… Byฤ‡ Project.

As I wrote previously because of my blog I got a chance to get to know an awesome person like Mateusz Rus. If you would like to read his blog or join his FB group here is a link ๐Ÿ‘‡:

I must write that I treat Mateusz as my personal mentor. I take an example from him as we are interested in similar things. We never meet in person but as he wrote in his book, “Programistฤ… Byฤ‡” you can make a mentor from anyone in the world who inspires you and push you to become a better person and better professional in your field.

Mateusz is someone like that for me ๐Ÿ˜Š.

I decided I will help Mateusz with his book promotion and I wrote to him that I will write my review on this blog about his book.

This review is still under development but I hope I will come to daylight this month.

I truly recommend to you, if you can read in polish, to buy and read his book. It is a great resource for everyone who would like to change a job to any IT position. Here is a link ๐Ÿ‘‡:

Focus time in year 2021.

Forest App.

I don’t hide from anyone that for measuring my focus time I use Forest App ๐ŸŒณ.

This app helps me do become more productive and focused during doing various tasks. I like the Pomodoro-like system of productivity. This app works in this system.

So for all year of 2021, I was measuring all my focus time divided into a few categories. Of course the most time I spend on work but as I wrote previously this year was all about healing, so this category has second place in focus time.

Forest App Stats.

In the year 2021, I spend a little more than 2K hours on productive things requiring my focus. I don’t know if this is a lot or not but this is approximately 5h and 30 minutes of focus time every day.

I think it is not a lot taking into consideration that work is also included in these stats.

Here I share with you screenshots from Forest App:

I must write that in the year 2022 I would like to spend more time on Sports activities ๐Ÿคธ. I think 71 hours is not a lot for the whole year.

In the year 2022, I will also mainly concentrate my focus on healing as there is a lot to do in that field in my life.

Trying to predict the future I think at the end of 2022 I will have more hours spent on focus time. I don’t know how much more it will be but I can predict it will be quite more.

One of my New Years’ resolutions for 2022 is to wake up much earlier so I will have a couple of more hours during a day to spend on my activities. That’s why I think this year will be much more productive ๐Ÿ™‚.

Personal projects in year 2021.

Project C.U.D v.1.0.

In the year 2021, I developed a personal growth project. I wanted to improve in many areas of my life like spiritual, bodybuilding, and health of the mind.

You can read about this project under this link ๐Ÿ‘‡:

At the end of this year, I had to extend the deadline of this project by about half a year because my main goal was not accomplished yet. It was to lose weight to 87kg because at the start of this project I had about 15kg extra weight.

I must write that this project is still going on and it will end in Marz, 2022. It is super hard for me to lose weight as it requires a lot of self-control and sticking to an exercise routine and a good diet but slowly I am heading for success.

I also made a lot of additional goals in this project which some of which are done and some are still in progress. If you are interested in this project please read the article about it.

100 Days of Code Challenge in Python.

In the second half of 2021, I started to participate in an awesome course made by Angela Yu. Here is a link to this course ๐Ÿ‘‡:

This course is one of the best on this e-learning platform and is extremely well made.

Unfortunately, because I work two jobs, as I wrote at the beginning of this article, I find only a little time to continue this course so my progress is very slow.

At this time I am at day 18 so it will take at least another half a year to complete this course.

I also decided I will be writing about every day of this course on my blog. If you are interested here is a link to an article about the first days ๐Ÿ‘‡:

I must also write that this course gives me a lot of knowledge and skills to become much better at Python programming. Because of participating in it, I become so much better in this, thanks to Angela.

At the end …

At the end of this article, I would like to write that I am super grateful for the year 2021. I had a lot of struggles and a lot of failures in this year but nevertheless, it was one of the most productive and greatest years in my life.

I cannot thank enough to the people who support me, all my friends and my family and other people of goodwill ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘งโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ.

Hard work pays off and because of that, I am super motivated to work even harder this year.

If you read all that article I thank you very much. This is a great pleasure for me to write on this blog and I am very grateful also for everyone who reads my posts.

If you like this article you can leave a comment or share it on social media. Additionally, you can give a thumb up.

Have a great day and be truly blessed in the new year of 2022.

Cheers ๐Ÿ‘‹.
